The property has two solar-heated saltwater outdoor pools (one at the main building, one at the Villa) with sun loungers and a shallow end. Guests can enjoy the garden with a pond, picnic area, and outdoor fireplace. Onsite activities include cycling, walking tours, and board games. Nearby activities include hiking, whale watching (in season), golf at Hermanus Golf Club (4 km), and kayaking, which the staff can arrange. The lounge also has books and a TV area.
Location
Whale Rock Luxury Lodge is 200 metres from the New Harbour, where whale-watching boat tours depart (July-December). The Cliff Path walk into town starts nearby and takes about 40 minutes on foot. The property is a 3-minute drive from the town centre and 1 minute from the New Harbour. The lodge offers airport shuttle and car hire. Taxis into town cost around 100 rand return. Cape Agulhas and the Winelands are 100 km away by car.
